Ganga Sagara Baru (GSB)
DESCRIPTION
GSB is the second vaisnava farming project in Central Kalimantan which is located in Lupak village, Kapuas. There are two ways to reach this project, by land and river transportation. The land is about 125 Ha, mostly are idle lands and affected by tidal wave of sea because it’s only 10 KM from the nearest beach. This condition brings many benefits for farming, especially tidal rice farming.
This project was started in May, 2003. And now there is only one family consists of 4 people who live in GSB. Therefore, it is quite difficult to have this project grown. In August 2005, the Deities of Panca Tatva and Prabhupada were instaled here by HG Gaura Mandala Bhumi and HH Bhakti Raghava Swami Maharaja. They also have two cows brought from Lalita Pura Seva Kunja. Their cow dung are so helpful for planting flowers and vegetables. devotees
Beside the activities of farming, devotees already built some facilities, such as a building used for altar and living, rice barn, kitchen and goshala.
