GITA NAGARI BARU (NEW GITA NAGARI)
Gita Nagari Baru is a vaisnava community started in 1999. The area is around 60 hectares. Now there are 30 families, around 150 devotees live here. We have 5 cows on the farm. The aim of our project is to give opportunity to everyone to live together based on principle of Bhagavad Gita. For that, we now have facilities such as Sri Sri Radha Madana Gopala Mandir, Bhaktivedanta Library, School (both students and teachers are devotees), Bhakti Kutir (Sanyasi room), Guest House, Goshala, Village Office, Building Art and Dhanvantari Clinic.
We also maintain the forest as natural conservation. We have planned project to make 12 forests of Vrindavana here. Now we have Bhadravana forest, one of twelve forest of Vrindavana. Our projects are surrounded by thousand fruit trees, each named with one name of Visnu and thus the forest is called Sri Visnu Sahasra Nama Vana.
Future plans:
Short term: Keeping honey bees in our forest and adding the number of cows.
Long term : Every family house chould keep cow and produce their own food.
Currently Need
Currently we don’t have many milk giving cows. We are planning to add more cows and be self sufficient in milk production for the village.
